Repairs and Returns

What is the Lifeventure warranty?

Lifeventure products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. If a product ever fails due to a manufacturing defect, even after extended use, we will repair the product, without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown materials over extended time and use. Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.

For warranty evaluation, please go to your nearest authorised Lifeventure dealer. They will follow up n the warranty request for you. Please make sure that all returned items are in a clean condition. Products not clean enough to work on will be returned to you. Please mark the areas in question so we can find them easily and include a cover letter, proof of purchase and contact details.

I think my product is faulty.

If you believe your Lifeventure product is faulty contact your local Lifeventure retailer and they will either exchange your product or give you a refund. Alternatively you can contact Lifeventure so that we can deal with you directly.

Technical Information

What is Cordura®?

CORDURA® fabric is what the most respected brands, retailers and militaries around the world use when they need to make a product that’s durable, versatile and reliable. Constructed using high tenacity fiber technologies, ounce for ounce, CORDURA® fabrics are more durable than comparable unbranded fabrics.

What is iTrak?

Itrak is a unique luggage tracking device which links you with your bag in the event of it being lost. Available on all of the Adventure Trail range, when your unique code is activated it will register your details and should you lose your bag iTrak will be able to find you and return your lost item.

What is DOGTAG?

Dogtag is a unique insurance company which specialise in unique and specific insurance. With each purchase of the Adventure Trail range you will receive 5% off of your Dogtag insurance policy.

What is hydrofibre?

Hydro fibre is an extremely fast drying material which we use in our range of travel towels.

What is softfibre?

Softfibre is a material which is extremely soft to the touch whilst also being super absorbent and quick drying. It is used in the Lifeventure range of towels.

What is Microfibre?

Microfibre is a material which we use in our range of towels. It has the conventional towel feeling whilst being lightweight, compact and super absorbent.

What is EX3?

Ex3 is a new specialist treatment which gives a triple layer protection against the build up of bacteria and odours. EX3 also protects against the treat of mosquitoes and bedbugs. It is used all on Lifeventure sleepgear.

What is Thermafibre?

Thermafibre is a material which gives high performance insulation and comfort. It is used n the Lifeventure sleeping bags and our Thermafibre cushions.

What is rip stop silk?

Rip stop silk is used in the Lifeventure sleepers and pillow cases. It is a silk which is designed especially not to rip.

What is TIV?

TIV stands for Thermally Induced Vacuum and is used in all Lifeventure flasks. It is a method by which you can improve the quality of the vacuum in a flask which will allow for better insulation.

What is TSA?

TSA stands for Transport Security Administration. Some of the Lifeventure locks are TSA compatible which means that customs officers can open your locks without breaking them in the event that they need to inspect your luggage.

What is Lexan?

Lexan is an extremely strong material which is used in the Lifeventure camping set and lexan cutlery range. This makes them very hard to break and ideal for sport and outdoor life.

If I would like my own logo on your product is this possible?

Lifeventure are proud to supply many leading companies with their own branded products and we are happy to offer this service. Supply is dependent on which products, quantities and the type of changes you wish to make. It should also be noted that there may be some legal or safety requirements to be considered. Please contact our head office to discuss any requirements.

Can we add our print on Lifeventure Thermal Mugs?

Yes, to do this in the UK we have a minimum order of 300 pieces. If you can reach a minimum of 1000 pieces it is much cheaper and can be done in the factory.

Sponsorship and Charity

Who do you sponsor?

Lifeventure are currently working with several expeditions around the world ensuring explorers have the best kit available. One of the highest profile expeditions we support is the Adventure Ecology Plastiki Expedition to the centre of the Pacific Ocean. This expedition is designed to highlight the impact of waste on the ocean ecosystem. David de Rothschild is leading this expedition in a boat made from water bottles. Lifeventure, in turn, provided kit including duffles made from water bottles.

Do you support smaller expeditions?

We do get many requests for sponsorship from charities, charity expeditions and from people completing a personal challenge. Each year we support a few expeditions with preferential deals on our equipment. Typically these trips will promote the Lifeventure brand and follow the Lifeventure philosophy.

Do you support a particular charity?

We are lucky to be involved in the field of global adventure. Unfortunately some parts of the world do not have access to some of the basic requirements we take for granted. For this reason, in 2009 we have taken a proportion of the profit of one of our ranges and given this all to WaterAid. Their aims and ethos are very commendable and we support all the work they do.

Technical Questions

What towel is best?

Lifeventure offer 3 types of towel and the best one depends on your activity. The lightest towel on the market is the lifeventure hydrofibre towel. This is the quickest drying towel available on the market and is also compact and superlightweight. If you want the softest and most universal towel then the soft fibre is the one for you. The original soft fibre towel, the Lifeventure towel has been developed to be even softer and have the best antibacterial treatment available. Finally, for those who want luxury, the Microfibre towel has the feel of the towel you have at home. Slightly heavier and bulkier but more absorbent.

Can I retreat my towel with Antibacterial?

Yes you can retreat your towel using Lifesystems AX antibacterial spray.

How do I wash my towel?

40 degrees in your washing machine will be absolutely fine.

How heavy can you be for the hammock?

Lifeventure have tested the hammock up to a weight of up to 18 stone. Whilst it would probably take more, it is only tested to this level.

How do you wash your silk liners?

Lifeventure liners are treated with antibacterial properties which should mean cleaning isn’t necessary every time you use them. When you do our recommendation is that they are put into a pillow case and washed as normal. 30 degrees would be best, but 40 degrees is okay.

What is the top lid for on your thermal lids?

The top lid is used as a pressure release airlock which is used if the contents are allowed to cool down. This may normally cause a vacuum and then the main lid may be stiff. By using this top lid and rubber valve, the top should always be easy to open.

Can I put my thermal mug in the dishwasher?

We recommend that you do not put your thermal mug in the dishwasher. Although this won’t harm the workings of the mug, the dishwasher will take the paint off and this could potentially damage your dishwasher.

Can I put my Lexan bowl/cutlery in the microwave or dishwasher?

We recommend that you do not put any of your Lexan products in the microwave or dishwasher.

I have lost my stopper and lid for my flask. Can I get a replacement?

If you have lost your stopper or flask lid you can call the Lifeventure customer service team and we ill find you a replacement. We will quote you a price including postage.

I have forgotten the combination on my padlock, can you help?

Unfortunately no, the number you set is the only one that will work.
